Swelling Ingum Bone Near Teeth

Levi, Primo - Se questo è un uomo, poesia

You who live safe In your warm houses,
you who are returning in the evening the
Hot food and friendly faces: Consider if this is

a man who works in the mud who does not know

peace that fights for a bread
dying for a yes or a no.
Consider if this is a woman with no hair and no name

no more strength to remember, Her eyes empty and her womb cold
like a frog in winter.
forget that this was:
Remember these words. Carve them in your heart

When at home because,
lying down, getting up.
Repeat them to your children. Or have you undone
Home,
the illness impede you, your
born twist their faces from you.

Primo Levi, born in Turin in 1919, graduated in chemistry, was deported to Auschwitz in '44 with the promo of the other Italian Jews concentration camp at Fossoli in Modena ... died in 1987.
The experience of the monstrous Nazi concentration camp, called the field of work [Arbeit macht frei (work makes you free). ] But in reality the death camp, inspired him If This Is a Man (1947), one of the most remarkable books of European literature inspired by the concentration camps.
Its strength lies in the absence of any delay, descriptive, emotional abandonment of all, even resentment of each and every protest against what has been the most atrocious and shameful page in the history of modern Germany.
Levi, I am referring especially to the novel, the narrator is a sober, dry leaves parlare i fatti...egli vuol essere soltanto uno dei pochi superstiti che sente il dovere di dare testimonianza di ciò che avvenne.
